is joining managed payments optional?

If I do not sign up for the managed payment program does that mean I won't be able to sell here anymore? I was filling out the information and got to the point where when you give them your bank account information you are also giving them permission to take money out of your account if they think you owe it to them - that's without my permission! I don't give that permission to anyone. I also read here that several sellers have had their bank accounts hacked after signing up. So, again I ask, do we have to do this in order to keep selling or can we keep on the way we have always been paid?

    Yes, you must sign up to continue selling if you don't you can still buy from our site using PP.

     Get yourself a separate checking account strictly for ebay and use that. I did that for PayPal years ago.

If you don't join managed payments they will stop you from selling at some point. Get a separate bank account for ebay.
