Remember when eBay told us that Managed Payments was going to be better for us and how we would pay less in fees (versus PayPal)?
How long did that last? Less than a year for me. And I think the initial difference in savings was less than 1%. What a joke.
The fees are higher by a lot now. Fees for the main category I sell in used to be 8.73% total (including all PayPal fees) and now it's 12.6%. Both include my 10% Top Rated Seller discount, which I also expect they will eventually do away with in the near future, watch.

On managed payments my fee's did actually go down, (only about 1.2%) but I know it depends on categories and having a store and your seller status etc.
What category did you sell in where your fee's were 8.73% including Paypal ?
I have been imported from Australia and this is my posting ID

I've been in for over two years. My fees seem to be roughly equivalent.

I must be asleep at the wheel
I joined MP last october and I guess it was 12.35 or so
then this year it went to 12.55.
I also have a store and am TR+.I thought all was well
the othe day mam had all the fees up and it said it was 15% for watches
not sure when this happened but I looked into it and its correct
I sell in 31387 category which is watches...............this really blew my mind
I guess I am just subsidizing all of the free authentication services
I remember about 10 years ago when the FVF rates almsot doubled except for guitars
how come you can sell guitars for 3-4 percent now.I dont get it
are musical instuments better than watches.....those guitar sellers have a sweet deal now
they also changed the sliding scale for FVF on watches.it used to give large break at 1000 or 2000
now the break point is at 6 or 7 thousand
oh well !

The FVF on guitars is most likely to compete with the low rates on another marketplace that sells musical instruments only. They have been competing for several years.

that makes a lot of sense.I guess if ebay wants to be a category killer then they need to attract the sellers and buyers.
I had no idea that was the reason but its a great deal for guitar sellers .my rate for watches went from 12.35% all the way up to 15%
I used to feel sorry for some of the CD sellers or media categories that got the high rate
there were a few categories several years ago that were a lot higher than mine
thanks for the info

The FVF in Coins did go up. IDK why, I've asked but I've gotten no answer on that from anyone. But most categories did not have this happen and I'm really sorry you have gotten caught up in this.
As to the TRS discount. That at least is a little bigger for you now than it was before you went into MP. Before MP, your discount was calculated on the product FVF ONLY. But now it is calculated on the product, shipping and sales tax if any. So it is a little boost on that discount.

I was looking at your stuff as if you did not have a store. If you have a Basic store or above, your fees for Coins should be 8.5%. And the other categories you are currently selling in would be 11.7%
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/store-selling-fees?id=4809
The fees in MP have NOT increased overall fees. The following numbers represent those that do not have a store and the fee rate for most common categories [not all].
These number pertain to NO Store by the seller.
Fees BEFORE going into MP
10.20% FVF + 2.9% PP fees = 13.10% plus 30 cent per transaction fee.
In MP the fees are:
10.20% FVF + 2.35% money processing fee paid to MP = 12.55% plus a 30 cent per transaction fee.
Starting August 2nd, PayPal is raising their fees, so they will be as follows:
10.20 Ebay FVF + 3.49 PP Fee = 13.69% plus .49 cent Per Transaction fee
PP is apparently offering different fees to different sellers, likely depending on size. From what I've seen it is between 2.59% and 3.49%.
