OK, I'll try again. I thought I posted a question but I can't find it so perhaps I didn't. This should be a simple thing but it has me stumped. I want to set up a bank account to receive payments and pay fees. When I go "account settings" and click on "payments" under "Payment information" it leads to "add cards and accounts". Clicking on that leads to the question "what will you use this payment method for" and gives two options "checkout" and "auctions and offers". No where does it offer a bank account option. And when I click on either option a bank account option is not there.
thanks for any help,
Peter

Go to the Payments section of the Seller Hub instead or use this link: https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin

Thanks Jonathan. I'm going to sound like an idiot but I can't find the seller's hub either. During one of my Youtube searches an eBay seller said that you have to have made a sale, which I have not, before you can access the seller hub. When I click on link you kindly sent me it takes me to the same page as I've been on and my options are still the same and I get nowhere. Maybe I'm not really signed up to sell, although I have been able to start preparing items to list.
Thanks so much!

Please review the below link carefully. It contains very important information as to how Ebay needs to see the information you provide them on your account. It is likely easier to change your Ebay account to match your bank account if you find there to be a difference.

Hi Pika,
I clicked on your link and it indeed took me to the Seller's Hub. Wow, thanks! Now I'll take some time to navigate it, see if I can add a bank account that way and see if I can close it out and find it again.
Best,
Peter

Here is a direct link to your Payment Account Summary on the Seller Hub.
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/summary
Scroll down the page as there is a lot of great information in this section. Look at everything closely. And there are reports and other information in the right rail.
Also when you go to enter your account number. If there is ANYTHING already in the field, clear it all before typing your new number. This is good advice for any field you are trying to update. Clear it completely first. Then add the info you want to appear there.

@pikabo-icu has some great options for you, @jes-871223! Just one more, maybe try this link to begin listing something and see if it prompts you to add your bank account and other details: https://www.ebay.com/sl/prelist/home

Bank account has a routing number which you need...then there is the debit card which is the same as the routing number of your checking account...and your bank can help you to identify them if needed.
Not credit cards...

I don't personally use Debit Cards at all. Ever. Credit cards are much safer IMHO.

OK, I'm still stumped. I looked at all the links and everything I tried leads me to the same dead end. I think that the problem is, that even though I am able to start creating listings, I'm not completely registered as an Ebay seller. The reason I think this is that when I set up my account, while I gave my name and address, I never entered, or saw a place to enter, my social security number or DOB which one of the info sheets says Ebay needs. Now, I'm trying to figure out how add that information and, if I do maybe, the option to add a bank account will show up under "payments. Thanks in advance for any help.
