So I recently bought an item, last night actually, and I woke up to an email saying:

We had to cancel your recent order.

Unfortunately, due to concerns, the item listed below has been removed from the site.
This won’t interrupt your order. But if you have any problems, you’re covered by eBay’s Money Back Guarantee and can request a refund

I don't know if this means I will still be receiving mmy item but just wont be able to buy another, or if I have to file a complaint and get a refund. Please help

You should be ok. Sounds like eBay is stopping the seller from selling the product you purchased for any number of reasons (VERO Complaint, product not allowed on eBay, seller issues, whatever...). You can check if your seller's account is still active with other products or if the seller no longer has any products listed (you should be ok in either case).

Check your item status. If it has been shipped and has tracking you should still receive it. If it hasn't been shipped you may see a refund if eBay actually cancelled your order.

Worse case is you may need to wait and file an Item Not Received case if you don't get your item or file a not as described case if the the seller is a bad seller and sent something, but not what you ordered. Both cases should result in a full refund for you.

The couple times this happened to me, once I received the item as ordered and the other time eBay cancelled and refunded.
