So I was inactive from selling for over a year I come back with a new bank account still in the same name and address and link it to my ebay and I guess that's what triggered the account restriction. But after finally getting receipts for 3 of the 4 items sold in the last year I send ebay everything they asked for and they send me an email saying my account will remain indefinitely suspended. I have never gotten one complaint on ebay, they all leave me good feedback when I sell. The only thing I did differently in the last year was get a new bank. They paid me out 2 weeks before this restriction and then all of a sudden restricted. These buyers already got their items and im out of the item and the money now. Ebay won't respond to me on how I get my money. Please someone help me get my money.

I got an email on the day I was supposed to be paid out that I was restricted, they asked for documents and I sent everything. They then sent me this after I sent the documents. "eBay is built on trust, and we want our marketplace to be safe for both buyers and sellers. We reviewed your account because of concerns with your selling activity. Based on our review, we've taken the following actions on your account:
- Indefinitely removed your ability to sell. You can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.
- Removed any of your listings. A list of any removed items will be listed further down in this email.
- We have credited all associated fees except for payments processing fees and the final value fee for your listing(s).
You can still bid on items, buy, and complete transactions you have in progress.
If you think we’ve made a mistake, or someone has accessed your account without permission, please contact us as soon as possible." Based on my selling activities im a risk? Everything I submitted is in my name and my bank account and address match, my ID matches. Everything I sold was delivered to the buyers in 2 days and some even left reviews. They don't care about sellers anymore. They have said yes that it is indefinite and its final. I haven't violated any policy. I understand what your saying about a new rule, but that doesn't apply here. The only thing I did wrong was apparently link my new bank since in the last year I do not bank with the other bank I previously used.
No you haven't. According to your items sold, the first thing you sold was on 11/20, so 30 days would not pass until 12/20. You still have a little over a week to go.
Again, the documents they wanted on your $1000+ sales is SEPARATE. A completely different issue from the 21-30 day hold on funds. You need to separate these two distinctly different issues.
OK that message does NOT say "permanent" as you said in previous posts. It says "indefinitely". While that still stings a lot, I get that, but it does mean there is hope. However what this does mean is there was something having to do with those higher ticket items they did not like in the documents you submitted.
They do care about the sellers, but they also care about the security on the site. So you need to contact Ebay and find out what you can do to fix the issue as clearly there is something they are seeing that they don't like.

LOL The federal government didn't write a law that is ONLY for Ebay. It is a law for EVERY site that processes their funds received. Which is ALL the larger sites like Ebay.

"We won't be able to reinstate your account. This is our final decision.
While we know this isn't the response you wished to receive, there is no further opportunity for appeal on this decision. Also, we realize that this may not be the answer that you hoped for, and would like to apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this response may cause. Unfortunately, your account is not eligible for reinstatement." In an email from a different agent. I wish I could fix what they don't like. They won't tell me what they see wrong. All they do is respond with the same email everytime which I have copied part of it above. And unfortunately some sellers don't leave feedback so the only orders you see are the ones with feedback left. There were others who didn't leave feedback. They have every document they need and they still say the decision is final and can not be reversed. Which I'm gonna go ahead and assume actually means forever.

Could your account possibly be linked to another account?
12-12-2021 09:02 AM
No, I have never made any other ebay accounts.

I am sorry this has happened to you. Unfortunately it seems that Ebay is just not going to allow you to sell on this site again for whatever reason they have. They saw something that caused them concern but you may never know what that was.
I wish you nothing but the best. Sorry we couldn't have been more help.

Yeah. To be able to just ban someone for no reason and steal their $2k is just absurd. Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it. Have a great day

What I meant was anybody in your family, that sells on Ebay and could be linked to your account? Have you ever signed on to Ebay on a public computer, such as a library or hotel, or at a friends house? Ebay digs deep when linking accounts to a possible bad account..suspended, or owing fees, etc.Ebay has even linked accounts in the same apt building..suspending the seller, because someone in his apt building had a deliquent account.

I know my father has an ebay account but he has only ever bought items on there and im pretty sure he hasn't used ebay since before covid. So I don't see how his account could get mine suspended. I know he has never sold an item or had an interaction with anyone.

Just fishing here..you had a negative fb a year ago, and you responded that the buyer stole your item and kept the money. By any chance, did he open a not as described case that you did not respond to? I also see a neg for cancelling a transaction, which was an international buyer with freight forwarding..what reason did you use to cancel?
12-12-2021 03:50 PM
Not my item. I saw he had feedback that he used a reship and did chargebacks after delivery so I canceled the order after a seller who he bought from reached out to me. The other one I cant remember what happened, idk which one you're referring to.
12-12-2021 03:57 PM
What reason did you use to cancel that transaction? Problem with buyers address or out of stock? Though Ebay frowns on cancellations for freight forwarder sales,since they use a U.S. address,which is allowed. This is the fb I was referring to;
"He has had over 3 scam reviews left, he stole the products and took the money"
What reason did you use to cancel this transaction?
12-12-2021 04:00 PM
Oh that one is the one I referred to in my previous message about the chargeback. I'm pretty sure I used buyers shipping address reason. Anyway these reviews were left 3yrs ago. Nothing else happened in the last 3yrs, not even a return for an order. So I cant see what reason they have to restrict permanently
12-12-2021 04:04 PM
I just wonder if they are tied in to your suspension. Coming back after a year and selling three pricey items...after two previous cancellations in your selling history...idk..Id suggest waiting for Mam to come in and get her opinion...cant figure out what else it could possibly be..

For what it's worth... after a time, eBay will send your monies to your state's Unclaimed Property Dept. Keep an eye on the public notices. I understand it's easy to get it from them with a photo ID.
