I have been a member of Ebay since 1998, and I am a power rated seller with over 3000 positive reviews.
I have had the same checking account for the past 16 years, and up until recently I have used Paypal to process payments from sales to this account. But recently Ebay took over the payment processing through Managed Payments, which I joined. As recently as 4/22/21 I was receiving payments through this system, but later that same day I sold an item and was asked to update my bank information even though none of my information had changed for many years.
Ebay started withholding payments of my available funds until the updates were made.
I subsequently entered the information being requested but none of the updates satisfied the Ebay system. I made multiple calls to Ebay customer service for help but was repeatedly told the same thing, which was to repeat the process and wait some indeterminate amount of time (varied from 24-48 hrs up to 3-5 days depending on which day I called). When I asked for this to be elevated I was told there was no way to do that, but multiple times I was told someone would call me back to follow up and make sure the changes worked. No one ever called. I'm still trying to clear this up.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so what did you do to correct it? TIA

Ebay's AI sees something it won't state clearly - could the AI be concerned about returns on jewelry or used parts? Not trying to be a jerk when I ask this!
Would your bank create a separate free/low cost statement account for you?
I've been extremely frustrated with all these problems Ebay has creating for us.
