Did you mean:

Paypal!

This is what happened.

My refund was successful from a eBay seller on 23 September and went to a temporary PayPal account associated with my email. Problem was i already have an account associated with that same address which i never used to make payment. I am having so much difficulty receiving the money and paypal is refusing to answer any details via the account associated with the same email because it was a guest account.

Has anyone faced the same problem?

Can anyone help me with this?

Please!!!

Re: Paypal!

If I understand what you are trying to say; your email address is connected to 2 PayPal accounts, correct?

One is your regular account and the other is a Guest account?

You paid for the item with your regular account, but the refund was sent to the Guest account?

Did you create a password for the Guest account? Never used one so I don't know the process.

I think you might want to post this on the PayPal boards.  https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/home

Re: Paypal!

I NEVER used my paypal account to pay in ebay. I used my credit card.
The temporary account is either created automatically or created by ebay without my knowledge.

I have no password or idea which account was used.

Now paypal is refusing to provide information because payment was to a guest account. and i dont know anything about that account. 😞

There is no temporary PayPal account. eBay saying "we sent your refund to your PayPal account" is a cookie-cutter line.

Instead, eBay refunded your credit card, which usually takes up to 30 days to show up. Otherwise, and this is important, contact your card issuer to file a chargeback with your evidence for the refund within 60 days.

Re: Paypal!

There is a "guest" Paypal account, but it is just for Paypal's processing.

It's not "your" account.

You paid a seller who uses Paypal to receive their payments.

The refund will be processed through Paypal back to your card.

Give it a few, to several, business days to post back to your card.

Yes there are.  They are called "guest" accounts.  When a refund is created in Ebay it goes to the funding source of the original payment by the buyer.  If they used a guest account on PP, it will go through that path for the refund too which will end up on the buyer's CC.
