How and what sort of insurance, while ebay is holding the funds, will ebay have in place. In the event of bankruptcy or any chapter li legally speaking.

Ebay does not control the funds.    A well respected and large processing company called Aryden controls the managed payment program.

Ebay is having some of it's largest growth in years and still retains it second place behind Amazon.

Well ebay is usng ayden, so again how is Ebay and ayden going to insure the funds they hold until transferred. They could be reputable, but I never heard of them and I'm in the usa not the Netherlands. Laws here versus over there could be different.  The other question is, what will the process for disputes be with this move.  Will they back up chargebacks by customers.  I'm not sold about this move and if I dont get the answers I will sell elsewhere. If ebay dont care, then I dont care. PayPal has assisted me when ebay wouldn't. I have never had fraud on my account. Plus they know t hff air accounts. It's very little to protect my account. No need to bring up past regressions of PayPal fraudsters. I read Ebay was hacked just last year. Need the info to make a better informed decision.

You could go to their web site and read up on Adyen.

Have a great day.

The info you need includes the insidious misinformation you're reading here that Adyen operates Managed Payments.

eBay operates Managed Payments, and eBay alone holds the entirety of the funds to disburse to all sellers.

During the agreed 5-year drawdown where eBay would favor less and less business to PayPal, eBay looked for a cheaper payment processor.

Like PayPal, Adyen is just a payment processor. @Anonymous said here:

When eBay manages your payments, the only relationship is with eBay, not with any third-party payment processors.

Our systems now leverage payments processors including Adyen to process credit and debit card payments.

eBay collects payments from all buyers through either PayPal or Adyen, then pays the sellers like an employer pays its employees with a paycheck:

eBay Checkout paid with PayPal

- to eBay's business account at PayPal

- to eBay's pocket

- to seller

eBay Checkout paid with credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay

- to eBay's business account at Adyen

- to eBay's pocket

- to seller

That pocket is a single point of failure.

IT’S good they looked for a cheaper payments processor and I think that was ONE of the reasons that PP chose not to be involved after this year.

YES I did before I joined and they appear to have their act together with a lot of corporate accounts.

Ebay and PP are under contract until 2023.  A normal 5 year contract entered into in 2018.  Unsure of where you are getting your information from.

Ebay MANAGES MP, Adyen processes the actual money.

This seems to be a concern that is unrealistic if you have taken the time to review Ebay's financial statements.  Ebay is no where close to going bankrupt, in fact 2020 and so far 2021 are record years in many positive respects.

Did you have these same concerns with PP?  If not why?

Are you making the claim that eBay - and NOT Trustly - deposits payouts into the seller's accounts?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or Trustly moves money out of eBay's pocket?

When does PP payments processing contractually come to a full stop?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Is it 6/30/21?
