Managed payments

Managed payments is a scam....

thought I had no choice but to sign up for manage payments to the point where they wanted me to enter my financial information. I did not enter that info. Since, I have canceled a sale and attempted to refund the buyer and eBay is holding the funds and says they will not refund until I submit my banking info

They need your banking info in order to send it the money from your sales..........otherwise you will not get the money and won't be able to sell on ebay........  It's the same information Paypal needed and got from you.

Managed payments is not a scam.

It is run by a very reputable company called Aryden.

Etsy has used it for years.

My website company uses it.

I have NEVER had a problem.

Your financial information is put into a hash code and than securely locked away where only a very few people can access it.

First, it was a cancellation, I never received the money eBay is holding it. I would like for the buyer to have her money refunded. I requested to opt out as I am NOT linking my bank account. I am in the throws of an investigation with my bank from unauthorized automatic withdrawals from another institute, therefore I will not link anything.... I have already informed  eBay that I will not be selling on their site going forward

I’m happy you’ve never had a problem...

Ebay Is holding this buyers refund hostage. Forcing me to link my bank account which I cannot at this time. I am done with a eBay after 20 years, and have removed all of my listings

If you don't have enough in the PP account to cover the refund AND the fees you owe them, I believe they will deny the refund.........may have nothing to do with MP...........

Howdy dh! I have a quick question. I just received my MP signup today. I've read a few threads on here where some were doing the 7 day payout. Mostly so you don't have to keep balancing your checkbook every time a payment is transferred to your bank account, but rather just once a week.

I would rather do that. I'm a small timer and I don't consider anything I sell on eBay as income going towards my monthly budget as far as living expenses, but rather just a little extra cash in my pocket.

My question...... Do you think the 7 day payout for some one like me would be the better way to go? I'm leaning that way and as I said, I just sell a few things if any per month.

Thank you or any others in advance for any input. I appreciate it!

I use the 7 day payment for the very reasons you state and am satisfied with it.....

Thank you for the reply. Hear so many Hoarer stories about this new MP on these threads, that I don't know what to think.

As long as they don't create a headache for me, I really don't care. Just pay me my few bucks when you say you will. Other than that, no big deal for me.

I see @whatmorefabric Had a pretty good answer too.

Thanks again, Take care and have a fantastic Thanksgiving

since your sold listings show you would take google pay........I assume you were already opted in to MP........and I don't know how you can be opted in if you didn't, at some time, give them the bank information.  So the payment would be directed to your checking account.  If there is a stop on the checking account to accept transfers.....MP has no place to deposit the funds.  You're going to have to contact MP to get it straightened out.......

All any of us can do on these message boards is try to figure out what happened and why to try to help........we certainly don't have the complete information or the authority to do anything.......but to label the program is a scam is certainly not justified in my opinion.  You have some extraordinary problems it sounds like.......
