Managed Payments Mess

I have been on ebay for over almost 15 years and I have never had problems like I am having with this managed payments change.  This is an absolute mess and they never should have rolled anything out like this in such a state.  I have been trying to add my bank account for days now and I first tried to use my primary bank account.  This became a problem because my bank changed names a couple of years ago, so now the name of the bank does not match the routing number.  So now ebay is saying that I can only add this bank if I provide a bank document with my name on it stating the OLD name...  Which doesn't exist anymore.  So it looks now like I can't use that bank.  So instead then I tried to add a second bank account, but it keeps rejecting the routing and account number stating that I have to verify the first bank.  So my next step was to try to add a bank that can do the auto login.  I do have a bank that I can do that with, but I didn't want to use that bank. 

 

That seems to work all the way to the point where it then wants to verify my identity via a phone call.  Then it gives me the option to choose to have it call one of two numbers, but neither are my phone number.  They are numbers that I have not had for over 3 years now.  So my only option was to use a link to say to contact ebay support.  I try the link and it gives me a number and an 11 digit passcode to use when calling in.  I call the number and it asks me for a 7 digit pin!!!  I try to type in the 11, but it doesn't accept the 11 digits.  So next I try to tell it I don't have a number.  Then I get a message saying that ebay has discontinued use of this number, and to use the chat online (which is currently closed)  Why would they put a number on a new service that they are implementing that is discontinued.  

 

My last attempt was to call support directly which when I asked for a call initially told me it would be 15 minutes.  It now says 20 minutes and the call center closed in 22 minutes.  I am so fed up with this!!!! Honestly ebay!!

Therefore naturally they need to use phone numbers that no longer belong to me to verify my financial information.  Also, having me call dead numbers is totally secure and adds to the security of my financial security.  Topping it off with not returning my call when needed was just a gem.  Thank you for your useless reply.  This was a totally unnecessary change on the part of ebay which was clearly not ready for production.  But it seems typical for how they want to treat sellers now.

You may have to call the Managed Payment people and ask them to clear the old account so you can start over.

 

You can do that by clicking Help and Support Below.  They may have to call you back since everyone is working from home, but that's the most likely way to get this problem fixed.

I don't see what I am learning exactly.  I did manage to get someone on chat.  Still can't get a call.  They instructed me to do the things I have already done, it's just broken.  As I said, it wasn't ready for production.

I have been trying to get in contact with someone.  I finally did today.  Even their number to contact for support was wrong.

Sorry you can not get through the roadblocks to account verification.

 

My issues were minor in comparison. My scanned paper submission was rejected as not being "letterhead".  The financial institution "logo" was not at the top of the page, so it was deemed unacceptable.

 

Seems you are beyond this point, but this link may help some searching this in the future.
