Managed Payments Issues

Recently, I enrolled in Ebay Mangeed Payments for sellers because the indicastion was that my selling acount would be limited if I did not switch from Paypal to Managed Payments. I have been very disappointed and frankly, I feel defrauded by Ebay, because I still have not received funds in my account from a sale 3 days ago. I miss Paypal, when I transferred the funds to my bank account myself, and the money was available the next day. I would like to hear from other disgruntled sellers and discuss ways around this inferior system.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

1990's eBay "Hey Sellers, we have just teamed up with a new company called PayPal so our sellers will now be able to get their money instantly without the hassle of waiting for a money order or check"

2021 eBay "Screw you sellers"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We know you're the reason that we are in business. We know buyers do not pay a dime in any fees whatsoever and that all comes from you, our sellers and keep this company afloat. Well guess what?...WE DON'T CARE!! So any complaining will not do a thing. We'll bend over backwards for the buyers, and the sellers like you will just have to bend over and take it!

Re: Managed Payments Issues

You missed the "if you don't like our new system don't sell on it" that I got yesterday.

Scambay is their new name for sure.  Sellers always have to bend over for the auction gods at Scambay.

Ebay does not care about the little guy, even though we little guys are their bread and butter.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

I thought ebay did the collecting start to end, apparently ebay has Ayden do the processing, I believe they are the ones floating our money and making $$ from us.  None the less, Ebay picked that company who is sticking it to us.  Ebay had an efficient collection system before they crammed MP down our throats.

This is all ok, Karma will come back next year.  Next year EVERYONE making > $600 a year will get a 1099K, watch for the mass exodus as most people cannot pay Ebay 13%, Federal Tax 28%, not to mention state and local taxes.  By the time I pay all my taxes I make very little.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

My bank must be a good bank, because they ALWAYS get the money posted the very next day after eBay sends the payout. The problem for me is that the payment stays in 'processing' on every single sale in my MP account for at least 2 whole days before the transfer is initiated to my bank account. This has made it so I do not get any money from any sales that happen past Tuesday of each week, until the following week. If I have a sale on Wednesday, the money is processing until late Thursday, then sent to my bank account on Friday. Then it will post in my bank account on Monday. If I have a sale on Thursday through Saturday, the money will be in 'processing' through Monday of the following week, then they send it to my bank account on Tuesday. It then posts in my bank account on Wednesday. And so on.

It wasn't this way when I first enrolled in MP. I could sell items all the way up until Thursday and the money would be sent in time that it would post in my bank account on Friday. Something changed over the past few weeks that has made this whole system extremely problematic.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

After having been FORCED to use their Managed Payment system, our payouts have now been withheld 4 times in 4 months!!!!!!!!!

1st time we were told it was because we were new to it and everyone had to go through it  and that it was a 1 time thing.

2nd time (1 month later) we were told that it was based on our sales and that there were 3 tiers and we obviously hit the second tier but that they had never seen anyone hit the third tier.

3rd time (1 month later) we were told by 5 different people (I was on the phone for over an hour and got transferred to different departments 5 times) that 3 times in 3 months was really strange and it should not be that way.

4th time (1 month later) and it happened again.  It is like they are wanting us to quit selling on ebay.  They are so focused on ther buyers, but they don't realize that they wouldn't have buyers if they didn't have good sellers and they are running us off rapidly.

We have been selling on ebay (as our business) for about 15 years and have over 94,000 feedback with about a 45% return customer rate.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

Is start to looking like is big competitor! They take about 1 to 2 months to pay to the seller and they´re buyers can ask a return over a period of 30 days after using the product. Lame Services

Re: Managed Payments Issues

Amin to that. Just to add at number 7. PayPal also charged me also for 1-2 years, for the entire payment received, which included the USA state fees, even tho, I don't live and I am only registered on ebay.com USA, since my country has no ebay of it's own...

Another problem, for the managed payments, is that they have actually forced me for the moment to receive the money in a currency that has nothing to do with my account and were I live. I live in Romania, we use RON currency, our legal national currency, I sell on ebay.com in USD and the payouts are sent to my EURO currency account (never provided that to them, it's a big mistery how the payment processeor Adyen, got their hands on it). This is just to add to the ebay's lies and deceptions about the managed payments. Mathematically, my fees went up 4%, which is HUUUGGGGGEEEE !!!!

Re: Managed Payments Issues

Managed Payments is a complete and utter disaster.   Right now 99% of my buyers can not pay for any items on my store.   The Tech support is a joke and of no help what so ever.   Oh yeah forgot to mention.   Buyers can't pay for items but as soon as the items sell ebay take the fees from my bank account.    What a waste of decent selling platform

Re: Managed Payments Issues

The payment problems is not from ebay's managed payment **bleep** implementation, has nothing to do with that. That's the only benefit I see, buyers can choose from more payments method, including the old PayPal method, so, it is something else. But this small benefit it is nullified by the the day light robbery that eBay is doing directly, upfront, with the international sellers.

Re: Managed Payments Issues

Well ... not being able to put up listings until I signed up for MP is being forced. I couldn't put up listings, and five days later I still can't. I am going through the "process" as the CS Chat people call it; bank account information, micro-deposits, finding a link ANYWHERE to enter the micro-deposits, now they want bank statements with no link as to where to do that exactly. It not a process, it's an ordeal with hours spent in front of the computer waiting for emails/messages and phone calls ... that never come. I have to wait a day for another day for an email with that upload link?  I mean come on. My business has been down for five days now. This is acceptable to anyone?
