Good morning,
I had my first return request last weekend while in Managed Payments. The total amount of the refund was $299.99, which eBay put a hold on once the case was opened. During the course of the week, I had a couple of sales that more than covered the $299.99 so eBay processed the payments over and above that and withheld the amount needed to cover the return. The item was received today and I sent the refund to the buyer. Now there is a message on my Payments page that says my funds are in the negative and they'll either deduct it from the card on file or I can pay it off now. But just below that screen it acknowledges that $299.99 is still on hold. I thought they would deduct the refund from the funds they are already holding? If I go ahead and pay it off now, what happens to the funds on hold? Do they eventually get released?

One of the flaws in MP (my opinion)........the hold will disappear in about a day after the refund and that amount will then be positive in the pending process..... so don't try to pay them. I don't know why the hold isn't connected to the refund process but apparently it has to "wait" until they are sure the refund goes thru or something.

Well if they paid it from the "held" funds they'd know it went through wouldn't they?
