First sell payouts

I am new to the eBaying selling community and I am quite confused on how the payouts work. I sold my first item on 8/27 and all I've received so far is a pay out of $7.26 which I have no idea where this comes from. I am on daily payouts so can some one explain how this works?

Re: First sell payouts

Was it sold under a different ID?

Because I do not see anything listed for you under "Sold listings".

Re: First sell payouts

Daily payouts is not the same as, and therefore does not mean...paid daily. It means that you will receive payments to your checking account every weekday (Sat Sun Holiday not included) AFTER that sale has been processed by the processor (usually 2-5 days) and then they will deposit into your checking account 1-4 days later.

@kie.ki5

The first thing you should do is familiarize yourself with all the information on the site available to you.  To the right of messages right here on this board is a whole list of links about Managed Payments and how it works.   From your Seller Hub you can click on the Payments tab on top and it will take you to your Payments summary page.  From there you can get details on all transactions, fees, payouts, reports, etc.

Re: First sell payouts

Yes, the page it was sold under was "majorxsoles2012". I am inquiring for my boyfriend. That's his selling page.

Re: First sell payouts

Thanks. I've looked through some of these threads here and even read a few that you mentioned.  I just wanted a better understanding of what I'm getting myself into. It's a lot of mixed feelings.

Re: First sell payouts

So will I get these "daily payments" until my I receive all the money from the purchases. Since 8/27 we've sold about 8 or 9 more items.

Go to My Ebay

Click 'Payments' at top of page

This will tell you what is pending, what is processing and what has been deposited. Payments generally take 2 to 7 business days to get into your bank.

If you are a new seller (can be old member, but haven't sold anything past 90 days you are considered 'new') and depending on items sold (dollar amount) they can hold your payout for 21 days (give or take) to be sure customer is satisfied.

Do you recommend daily payments or the weekly payouts?

Re: First sell payouts

If you are not selling many per week, daily is probably best. Weekly is good for sellers that sell 10's on up of items a week and would rather get 1 lump sum weekly. Weekly usually deposits on Tuesdays, but probably don't include any sales from Thurs/Fri.

I do "weekly" (Tuesday) payouts of "available" funds. I do weekly as I do not want multiple deposits in my  checking account each week. My CU does not have a deposit/withdrawal  limit, nor do they charge a fee. Some do.

The payments made for my sales by Sunday generally are "processed" by Monday, and are available for my "weekly" payout.  My CU shows the money deposited on Wednesday.

This week having a Monday Holiday, some of my Fri/Sat/Sun payments will not be "processed" for the "weekly" payout.  They will not complete until Tuesday. If I desire those funds sooner than the following Tuesday I can temp switch to "daily" to get any available funds in a payout on Wednesday, and then switch back to "weekly" with just a few clicks.

I do not have a "cash flow" problem, so getting the payments once a week works for me.

Just repeating myself here, but from your Seller Hub you can click on the Payments tab on top and it will take you to your Payments summary page.  From there you can get details on all transactions, fees, payouts, reports, etc.    It explains how you get paid.   You also asked @stainlessenginecovers  whether they recommended weekly or daily payouts.  The information from @buyselljack2016  was accurate and good advice.    I personally use weekly as I find that simpler to keep track of.
