So my account has been connected to a checking account I had to close. I went through the add an account process, managed by Trustly. I make it all the way through the process and when I his the final submit button, there is an error message in ebay stating "There is a problem - Try again later". I have been trying all week. I contacted support today and they had no answers. I have payouts and need to resolve this ASAP.

I don't think Trustly is a conventional bank, which I have noticed creates some issues with transfers based on some postings I have seen....
"...Trustly is a digital payment provider which works as an intermediary between the consumer and the merchant. That means that we process transactions, we don't hold your funds, they are forwarded directly to your bank account from the merchant as soon as they initiate a refund in their system..."
Good Luck

Is said information at the bank the exact same as on ebay??

I'm having this same problem. I'm not sure about the "true" bank issue, but if the institution has a check routing number, they are a real bank.

There was a tech glitch that was supposedly fixed: so that may be the problem,
Such back when I went to MP. the information on the checking account has to be exact as the info on ebay, or it would not go through..
I suspect this is still one of the problems folks are having. Case sensitive middle initial and all of it..same..

If the institution is not a real bank, it will not work.
Just because it has a check routing number, doesn't mean its a bank.

a routing number does not identify a bank (only) ....here is an explanation and what I think is part of the issues that prevent some users from signing up....
Routing numbers are classified into three categories, with each category having specific eligibility requirements.
A. Regular Routing Numbers....
B. Electronic Transaction Identifiers (ETIs) are special purpose numbers designated for use as electronic addresses of organizations which are not banks but process payment transactions on behalf of banks. Assignment of an ETI allows these organizations to receive or transmit electronic files, consisting of one or more payment transaction messages, on behalf of the financial institution for which the processing service is being provided.
C. Traveler’s Check Identifiers....
They are all 9 digits....you can search the validity of a routing number at the ABA website.....that will identify the provider

The process of registering an account is through Trustify. My credit union is listed. This is a checking account which is also tied to my Paypal and Zelle with no issues. My bank states they have thousands of clients with ebay accounts. I also tried using my B of A account and still, no joy.

Yes

No, Trustly is the bank verifier software that Ebay is using

I'm having this problem currently. Everything is exact, but I get the error message. The only thing not exact is my CU changed their name a little and have the word Financial after it, but that shouldn't affect it.

Good news. Something different happened today. Towards the end of the process, a new screen came up asking me for the full account number of my prior bank. Then I was sent a 4 digit confirmation code to my phone and bam, the system took my new account. Thanks for the comments

No, my credit union. Trustly is just the app Ebay uses to verify accounts
