Unable to verify bank account after four tries. The initial verification page seemed to indicate that verification was ok. When I returned to my sellers page the need verification banner was still there. I called the bank, they had no record of a verification procedure, and said when asked that they had no policy to reject verifications. I called them because the person I talked to on the help line said it was because of the banks policy. Ebay wants me to ship by Friday, I don't have payment. Can't figure out what the problem is. I sold an item recently, received payment quickly from ebay.

I think you may have three separate problems going on here.
First, the verification process with MP.
Second, you are a returning seller with 90+ days away from selling. Ebay may be having MP hold your payments because of this.

Third, you may have been flagged as a potential security risk due to being a new seller and the large $$ value of the items you sold.
I suggest you contact Ebay for Business on Facebook. Tell them all of this and see if they can untangle this mess for you.

Then why don't they tell me what the problem is instead of blaming it on the bank? Pretty sad operation. Ebay used to be a great place to sell. Apparently dumping PayPal was a bad idea, as the exodus of sellers indicates. I will soon be one of them. You seem to know an awful lot about my account. I thought this was a community of sellers, not ebay insiders.

It is a very good question and I simply have no answer for you. It appears to me from many things I've seen posted on the threads over the past year that when you do get to an MP CSR, they often do not know what they are talking about or simply give out bad information. It is a persistent problem.
It is a normal human reaction to hate what we don't understand and fight it as hard as we can. This is the biggest change Ebay has ever brought to the site, so it is understandable to me at the amount of push back Ebay has gotten from many sellers.
Many posters are ASSUMING that there is some big "exodus of sellers", but the numbers just don't prove that to be true. In the last quarter the number of active sellers grew my about ONE million sellers over the previous quarter. Now about 73% of all sellers on Ebay are now in MP.
Thank you for the laugh. So you think because I'm informed that I must be an "ebay insider". That is funny. To think that someone that chooses to stay informed and learn the meaning of the various policies and how MP functions somehow can ONLY be achieved if you are an "insider".
I'm a seller just like you. The only difference is when in March / April of last year Ebay announced they are going to start onboarding sellers in large groups each month starting in the summer of last year, I decided it was time to dive in and make sure I understand the program as completely as I can so that I may better adapt to it. Others made the opposite choice and just want to wing it and assume that Ebay is at fault for anything that they don't understand instead of seeking out answers to learn if the problem is really Ebay or is the seller.

I happen to be smart enough to figure out most things I choose to enter in to or want to find about, and i
I did a lot of digging into everything I could find out about including Facebook as you suggested and found no answer to my question. I did not assume it was ebays fault until I had proof that it was not the banks fault, and found no-one else who could help. It is not all that hard to figure out the program, it is hard to figure out why it works so poorly. Interestingly, since I stirred things up with ebay help the micro deposit almost immediately and I received notice that my payment is in progress. While searching for answers I ran into quite a few postings that agreed that ebay had gone downhill since MP.
I find your backhanded insinuation that I am one of those people that hate things they don't understand and wing it and blame Ebay for everything. Thought the purpose of the Community was to help sellers, not insult them and just cheerlead for Ebay.
