Confusion regarding payout dates.

In the transactions report and messages eBay sends regarding pay outs, the date of the payout is X. On the payment tab of seller hub, in the summary box, the pay out date is X+1.

The point is an issue when considering why payments and expenses on date X were held for an announced next payout on X+2 (where the span is not over a weekend.)

#1 Using real numbers, my transactions report, created yesterday 2/9, says my last payout was initiated 2/8 for about $57.  The payment summary on the seller hub states my last payout, for $57 was on 2/9. Which is it?

#2 The transaction report states ,that on 2/8 I received payment for another sale and incurred expenses of relist insertion fees. Given I am signed up for daily payouts, I would expect a payout on 2/9 of the net of the sale and renewal of listings.  Instead, the summary status states no payout on 2/9, but expected payout on 2/10. Why no payout on 2/9?

I’m confused by your question.

Buyer pays, 1-2 days for processing, payout sent to bank. After payout is sent it depends on your bank how long it takes. Mine is the next day, but not the norm. It could take 1-4 days.

PS: I don’t know how their reports work. It may be based on processing times or time zones.

Here is a graphic showing an instant where under transaction detail, my last payout is one day, but at the top of the same page, eBay says my last payout was a day later than shown in transaction detail. I know it is the same payout with two different dates.
