I found the question where folks could not add or Ebay could not verify a new checking acct. But I am just trying to change & update it to a new one - from one with Capital On to one with Ally Bank. It all goes fine, my new acct gets verified fine, I can "add" it, but then the last step is to verify the current checking account number that was on the acct. But after I enter it, it comes back saying "Something went wrong, check the account number & try again" (or something like that) I swear to F-ing gawd it is the correct checking account number. After trying it 3 times, it boots you out.
I've tried this on different computers, my phone, browsers - always the same. I tried calling Ebay & cannot get sent through to an actual person, the recording keeps telling me to go online & use the chat bot who has no idea what I'm talking about. I've tried adding zeros onto the ends, it doesn't say to include the routing, only the full checking account #. It doesn't seem possible to mess this up - from the user's (my) end.
I have to be able to change this, I had to close that checking account due to someone hacking my Paypal acct. Now I've had to quickly go around to every selling platform I get paid through or website where it's used as a payment - it's already been stressful enough to deal with!! Any ideas, or ways to reach an EBay human that could actually help would be so appreciated!!

Do NOT call any number you find on the internet as they will be scammers - eBay does not have a contact number presently.
Are you sure the bank you have switched over to is supported on eBay for MP?
ETA: If you have changed banks, the routing number would be different I would think, (over here in Au it is) so you would need to add both the new RN and Account number
