That would be between you and your seller.  Have you contacted him?

He's not required to accept a partial return.  If the item was defective, and the seller prefers not to deal with a partial, you are free to open an item not as described case if that's the issue.

There is no ebay-enforced way to return part of an order. The only thing you can do with a guarantee is to return the entire item/order to get your money back.

You would need to work with the seller to see if they can do a partial return and hope/trust they hold up their end of the agreement.
