Hello, I've been having issues with adding a bank account for payouts. I have some money that's on hold. Ebay doesn't accept bank of america. I tried using Chime but that doesn't work either. Does anyone know what banks or online banks that ebay accepts? Please let me know, thanks

Hi Jago
I use a Walmart Green dot Card. It's a legitimate bank account with a routing and account number and Ebay accepts it as Green Dot Bank. There's a monthly fee that's around $5, but if you deposit more than $500 it's free. I have had it for at least 6 years and it works just fine. Google Walmart Green Dot card and apply for one on line.
Good luck.

Thanks, so they take the $5 out of your account? You talking about this

Yes, once a month they'll deduct $5.00. Banks charge more. Give it a shot. Works for me and many others.

@jago071983 I opened a checking account with Citibank just for eBay. There has never been a service charge for this checking account. I opened it online during the covid lockdown, never even had to go inside the bank. Not had a single issue with eBay or payments since then. Makes it easy for me as all my transactions go through this bank account only. All of my paperwork for eBay is easily tracked and I have backup paperwork all from only one account. Best of luck to you....

You know... I've read of this issue with BOA, yet I onboarded (years ago when sellers 'opted in') with my decades-old personal BOA account. I can't believe this problem ever even arose... yet still bothers some. It's a head-scratcher... 🤔

The checking account used must match exactly to your eBay personal information, name address etc. If your checking account is Jon Q Public, your eBay account needs to be the same not Jon Public, same with address.

So my home address has on my banking account has to match the one on my ebay account?

I think I read somewhere, it's certain states that they won't accept BOA accounts from.
Is that true, I don't know and don't know which states.

Yes,...exactly. Letter for letter, word for word. Then try to remit again.

If your eBay account does not match (name address), update your eBay account so it does. For buying, you can have more than one address for receiving items.

Use the wires routing number not the paper & electronic number. I had the same issue.
