Hey everyone, I just started selling on eBay and I am confused. I understand the insertion fee and the final value fee. My concern is this: I made my first sale today, it was sold for 29.99 plus 7.95 Shipping for a total of 37.94, the final value is $41.16
My seller hub says that eBay charged $ 5.47 total fees. That leaves $ 32.47 in Net order Proceeds… so does that mean that I will have $32.47 deposited into my bank account?
Also, when I view my available funds, it shows a balance of $ -7.40
I am confused. Any help would be great.
Thanks !

You are looking in all the right places. Did you happen to notice the message at the top of that screen. Due to the Holiday Weekend, things are processing slower.
Also, since you are a new seller, you should be aware of this policy. It may not kick in on your first transaction, but it will catch up to you soon, or it should.

The final value fee is calculated on the item price, the shipping cost and the STATE SALES TAX, if any.
Did the buyer not pay state sales tax?
