I see that some of the photos that Google shows do look like this but if you look carefully at them all you will realize that this is only what others are calling crochet work. There are photos in there which clearly show the work done with a needle, not a crochet hook.This is not done with a crochet hook but with a needle. Scroll down through some of the Google imags and you will see it. If you check Reticella you will see what this is. I am not a lace expert but do know many of the styles and this is Reticella.
