I am not an expert but something like that would definitely need to be done by a professional. The silk will not do well with tinkering at home, I do not think.

Are you sure this is antique?  Still coming out of China.

Good point, Debora. I did not look too closely. Now looking at the bottom edge I am also not so sure it is particularly old.
