Hi,
I sent you this email regarding the 2014 Eagle Cargo 7 x 14.
The trailer is in perfect condition with clear title, no accidents, no liens or loans and it has just been completely serviced.
The price for the trailer is $800 (including delivery and handling to your address).
I'm selling this trailer because my dad of only 69 years died 2 months ago in a bike accident, the trailer belonged to my dad and it brings back bad memories and that's
the reason I want to sell it. My husband travels a lot with our business and we want to make
this deal through eBay Motors (Buyer Protection Program), so if you're interested in purchasing
the trailer just reply to me with your full name, full address and phone number so I can notify
eBay. Once that is done, they will contact you in the next hour to explain the entire procedure.
Here you have pictures attached.
This obviously looked sketchy. So i googled it. Found similar scams for other vehicles for sale: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Motors/eBay-Motors-Buyers-Protection-Program/m-p/29972557#M36311
Literally the same language just different relative, etc... These scammers are SO LAZY or dumb, these days. They don't even try.
Went back to the jerk on FB to find looking at their postings they had the same one in every state for impossibly cheap.

It is definitely a SACAM - and it dates from 2009 but really took off when the $1200 COVID checks went out, Facebook had hundreds of nice 1200 dollar Hondas and Toyotas, all with free shipping, 7 days free return, money back ebay motors guarantee, usually sold by grieving widow, distraught mother of dead son, or woman Air medic being dispatched to Afghanistan - just pay with CVS gift cards. I think I saw an estimate of 8 billion dollars was scammed in this manner, the most successful scam of all time!
