why can i not find oil for my 1949 ford tractor (red belly) and not the motor i need the other oil? i was needing like 5 gallons or more

Any NAPA auto parts or TSC, or even many Walmarts have what you need.

You can use:

NAPA 65-205 Mineral oil

TSC GL-1 (branded 'for old Ford tractors')

80-90 gear oil

i have one of these tractors-the OTHER oil is transmission/hydralic,lubs the trans. plus is fld. for the lift-i got my fld. from NAPA.

That will ruin the rear-end and pump in that tractor.
