I am curious how many people are utterly frustrated with the revised ebay motors layout. EVERYONE I have spoke to feels the same way - you have turned ebay motors into a usless piece of **bleep**. Granted - my circle of influence and network of friends is miniscule compared to the thousands or even millions of people who visit ebay motors on a daily basis. But my goodness - after providing you feedback a couple weeks ago, then trying to figure out how to possibly get the site to do something useful for me - I have given up. At that moment - I decided to survey a number of the people I know, who - like me - are into cars, trucks, and vehicles in general. Look how long I've been an ebay member - almost 19 years. That's not as long as the 45 years I've been maintaining, repairing, buying & selling vehicles and parts. Guess what: I spoke to people near and far and - NO ONE is happy - NO ONE. 100 percent think your changes are wrong - you made the site worse, not better. Also interesting - I'm the only one in the surveyed group that has contacted you about it. Everyone else figures it would be a waste of time. Since you screwed it up that badly, they believe thier feedback will not be well received and ultimately ignored, so why bother. Maybe I'm crazy - maybe my friends and I are the extreme minority. Why don't you invite the ebay motors community to complete a short survey about how they feel about the recent changes ? Put in at the top of the Motors home page in place of the "Ride on with Right Gear" advertisment.

i order parts at least weekly, sometimes daily. 3 times last week! while all those parts are likely here on ebay, i dont even look anymore! just finding them is hard enough. unrelated chinese widgets, pages upon pages of the same unwanted item listed again and again with different vehicles but same part, bolt for said part, complete vehicles that come with that part, etc. etc. narrowing the search often excludes the very part but the l.e.d. lights are still there at every price. if or when you actually find it, you dont know if it is out of stock, drop shipped from space or a returned part someone else already rejected! money back gaurantee? great! after waiting a week, i can return it, wait for refund and start all over! i am also in the market for an s.u.v. but wont bother here! that rant would be just as long, maybe tomorrow.

It's become completely ridiculous. As a buyer, it is just to much trouble to even look anymore- and as someone who works for a seller, it just becomes more frustrating to list, and for potential buyers to find your vehicles/items, unless thyey are very common and popular ones, which is NOT what most buyers come to Ebay Motors for, and which is not what many sellers who desire to use Ebay Motors are trying to sell here. We stopped listing at the beginning of the year. Pages get hits, but thanks to the way things now are, those hits are NOT from the people who are looking to buy what they are clicking on, but are rather being driven to click on various ads simply because they are now unable to sort their seatrches in a relevant manner, nor find the categories nor items they are looking for, quickly and efficiently.

Ebay Motors was revised? When? How? Musta missed that. I don't seem to have much problems finding and buying stuff here. I would say searching problems are not the worst. You still can search and find what you need if you're not a complete ***ot and if you are able to use filters and key words. There are a much more problems, but those problems affected mostly sellers.

And about surveys: eBay did send a link to a survey a couple weeks ago, and I have participated and answered all the question asked as honest as I could without using filthy language. We will wait for the results, but I will be honest once again: I don't have high hopes about it. All these eBay's rules, restrictions and policies made us nearly bankrupts. That's what we should strive for: real changes, which will help to protect the sellers as well and let them do their job.

at one time, i did know how to search effectivly, guess i got really dumb over the years. i could take an online course to learn how to search on ebay but I CANT FIND IT!

Depends what one is looking for.

Ebay seems to give preference to parts over vehocles- but one still has to wade through all of the generic and Chinese junk, and the ersatz stuff which is often trying to be passed off as OEM, etc.

(Assuming you don't want those things)

As fer vehicles, it has become almost impossible for the unitiated to find them- especially if they prefer to shop by category.

We used to primarily sell specialty commercial vehicles- e.g. bucket trucks; digger-derricks; truck cranes; material handlers; roll-off trucks- and Ebay USED to be the go-to place on the internet for such....but just as core Ebay decided that they wanted to ditch their unique worldwide flea-market to instead compete with Amazon and dollar stores, so too have they managed to destroy their unique position as the go-to place for specialty vehicles and equipment.

I suppose if one is looking for a Ford Focus, Ebay makes them easy to find...but why would anyone come to Ebay for such a mundane and common thing?

That's what I've been saying for a little g time now where is the seller protection they went wild with buyer protection to the point where the seller can only leave good feed back to a buyer when I get a bad buyer I have to hit the positive and leave a bad comment to make it stick I remember when we could leave good and bad feed back when they did this and a few more things they left us wide open to get ripped off and now on my app I don't even have the option to offer free shipping on my light weight items it makes no since they need to put it back the way it was whoever they hired to screw ip the site needs fired and put somebody in that will make it the way it was I mean after all if it isn't broken don't fix it cause you'll screw it all up and that's why they did not just to eBay motors to all of eBay

The Millennials can't sit still. They have to keep screwing with things to justify their existence. I believe that is what has happend. Same thing happens with my personal e-mail. I just get used to a format and WHAM, somebody gives it a much needed update. When a person basically derives their living from doing nothing productive, a justification is needed from time to time to prove their importance and value to an organization or corporation. This is done by continually updating and "improving" a format until it becomes unrecognizable or unusable to many.
