I found a truck on Face Book for a steal. When I offered to pay cash I was told the vehicle is at the shipping company, they are selling through eBay, and asked for my name, address, and phone to register me as the buyer.
Is this a scam?
"Thank you for your reply. As I explained in my previous email I was accepted for a new job and I moved to my hometown Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am a regular eBay user and now with this new virus situation I decided to use their services. You will have to pay eBay and they won't give me any money until you receive and test the Vehicle for 5 days. The Vehicle is at the shipping company, ready to be delivered. We also benefit from free shipping, it will be delivered to your address within 3 days and you have a 5 days inspection period to test and inspect it. Please provide me your information (name, address and phone#) so I can register you as the buyer and after that eBay will send you an email with the terms and conditions, with no obligation on buying it and also they will confirm the fact that the transaction is conducted through them and I'm a legitimate seller. Waiting for your email with the requested details."

Save your cash. This is a great, big ol' fat scam. Help out the next guy and report the bogus ad on the FB site.

Is it a scam? Cheap truck, oddly cheap. Free shipping, five free days to drive it.....
OF COURSE IT'S A SCAM.

The only "steal" of this FB truck sale IS the stealing of your $$$

Can you seriously be this naive? How old are you? 16? 17? 1Do yourself a favor and Google EBay vehicle scams and thank your lucky stars you came here before shelling out thousands of dollars. There is no vehicle, just a crook salivating that he/she is about to hit a big score. And please do others a favor and report this scam to FB! ASAP

Not all shipping involves a scam but all scams involve shipping. If you can't inspect and test drive it before you hand the seller cash you're liable to get scammed.
If the price is too good to be true it is.

I found a truck on Face Book for a steal.
Yup - it was a steal - only they wanted to steal from you.
@bearswatching Exactly, if it walks like a duck.....................
I am off out now to do some shopping, going to KMart, should I pay them or Target for my purchases?

It was a steal, huh? Except there is no truck, only photos the scammer lifted off the internet. But you saw that super duper low price and went for it before someone else did.
The first and most obvious sign it's a scam is the low, low price, a "steal" as you described it. You don't need any other sign that it's a scam because that is the most obvious tell-tale sign you're about to be ripped off.
All the other signs are there as well, as others have pointed out.
