No reply from the OP in 3 days? Maybe they sent the money anyway and are eagerly awaiting delivery from the Ebay warehouse.

Yeah, you will lose your money...
That's a pretty well known SCAM..

It's a complete SCAM. That communication is not from ebay. It is from the scammer. You found the car on another site, such as Facebook or Craigslist. Ebay does not broker deals from other websites. You can only buy a car from ebay if it is actually listed on ebay. If it's too good to be true.... it's too good to be true.

Obviously a scam. The first clue is a nice Tacoma for $1400, with free shipping, no less. It would cost the seller that much in shipping charges, basically giving the truck away for free.
This should be pinned at the top as an example of the fake ebay invoices these scammers send to people.
The scammers sure know human nature, people wanting to get a "steal" when in fact the only stealing is on the part of the scammer.

There is no car, there is no seller, all there is is a scammer on a computer in Nigeria or Libya or (you get the idea) waiting and praying for you to send the ebay cards, itunes cards, visa gift cards (varies from scammer to scammer).
Just thank God you csme here first before sending any money or gift cards!

eBay's Vehicle Purchase Protection covers only certain vehicle transactions that are completed ON eBay.com. If a Craigslist or non-eBay seller 'promises' you the eBay protection plan, this is fraud and you should walk away. Learn more.
Criminals want to lure you into feeling safe and may also disguise their websites or emails to look like they are from eBay, when they are not.

The buyer never has to give the seller their name or email # in order to buy a car listed on eBay. eBay knows who you are when you're signed into your eBay account.
eBay doesn't handle payments between vehicles other than to provide a pay button that takes you to PayPal to make a deposit if one was required.
On eBay you have 48 hrs to pay NOT 3 hours.
There's no inspection period. Vehicles are not returnable.
Here's how to use your eBay gift card to pay for purchases on eBay:
The scammer is tricking you into buying gift cards that you think you're paying for the truck with. Once you provide the scammer with the redemption code or codes they log into their eBay account and pay for their items with your money!

So I was right? Which warehouse did they say it was coming from? There might be weather delays in some parts of the country.

The free shipping is what always gets me on this scam.
It's $800 alone to ship a car.
I might as well just pay the buyer to take my 2004 Toyota Tacoma.

The eBay pic of their warehouse is pretty funny. They're way behind the times if they're still using cabovers........... 🙂

Did you notice that if you scroll over the photo that it's title is in German ? Also notice that the trucks have no front license plates ? I'm surprised that folks are still falling for this scam. If you buy a vehicle anywhere you need to inspect it , and the title - for 2nd hand vehicles, before handing over your cash.
I'm still waiting for the eBay delivery truck to show up at my house for my last purchase.
