And now, of course, you have us curious, so now,

our insatiable taste for the unknown, like that next hill you go over on a strange road, ya just gotta see!

A bit of background..

Just before or around the time you could finally build a Harley clone engine, ie all the parts were being made, these guys came up with a great idea.

Lets take something stone reliable and build a real bike (using the concept and some of the parts) for real people..that will be reasonable and people will no longer be at the mercy of Harley dealers!!

They often referred to the folks at HD as the folks in the ivory tower. Also they owned a bike mag and a parts selling franchise so promoting was relatively easy!

Initially it was to be a low-cost alternative V-Twin based on a pair of cylinders lopped off a Chev small-block (in concept). The idea was to be that if you needed replacement parts you could buy at least some in an auto parts store.. and it would be cheap to own one..not like them ivory tower prices...

More info tommorrow...

Thye used to show up at every big run with one of them (surpercycle magazine) I was surprise they didn't take off like the SS motor's did! Looked like a hell of a good idea!

Especially being able to pull into Pep Boys, or any other auto retailer and buy engine parts! Not to mention the possibilties of hop up parts!

Here I had been thinking they went broke, Glad to hear they are still trying to make a go of it!

I remember the first year they brought on eto Sturgis, they spent most of the day, changing tires on it from doing burnouts for the crowd!

Loved the sound, and the lack of Vibration!

Hard to beat a 300 dollar complete rebuild too!

(probably 800 at todays prices!)

Whem I saw it in Sturgis they could not keep it running, distributor trouble..

In their video they were always doing a burnout on water (big deal).. seems they forgot a flywheel (whuupps) on the first one!!.. tough to break loose the tire..

They started cheap, then you had to buy the frame, oil bag, pipes from them.. the price started creeping up...

Then not all the car stuff fit as planned..

I think at the end of the day they discovered why manufacturers tend to mark up inventory that is stored and sitting...
