Here is a link to Bar Mills Models on-line newspaper and information station. Art has 4 new on-line videos that you might find interesting. The first two are about Bar Mills Models itself. The next two are instructive videos. One on different types of glues and their use and the other on the new Bar Mills weathering powders. There are also pictures of some of the kits available. Enjoy. http://barmillsmodels.com/dailymoose_05A_05.html

Cashed in my Crappy Tire money and bought a nailgun. Should have bought it couple years ago. What ease it was nailing trim on my window box. Plus I can use it when I build cabinets and shelving so it will pay itself off.

What scale are the car and truck Dave? I did a 1/24 Monte Carlo in #3. Racing really died with my hero. :_|

For the past year plus I was sort of phased out of building car models and just busy with RR stuff. Since coming home this winter from middle east I started back into the modelling and managed to finish a car. Since seeing it completed, it fueled the fire for more and I regained my passion of building car models once again. I am quite a way thru my Tyrell F1 car and flying thru my #3 Goodwrench stock car and supertruck. I'll try to get some pics uploaded. I found a bunch of decals of nascar stock cars that I always wanted to build such as Davey Allisons black #28 and Rusty Wallace black/yellow #2 Miller MGD Pontiac.Even found some newer ones that look cool like the #8 Budweiser done is black/silver finish like Dale Sr's car. Next goal will be to sharpen my woodworking skills and build a large wood/glass display case to protect my cars. But right now I am still picking away at bathroom tiles.

I haven't touched a car kit in over 20 years and I have a wardrobe full of slightly started and never started kits plus a big box full of parts, if I started building again my time would dissapear more than it does now, I still collect cars but these days they are all diecast, I do have some very nice 1/18th scale drag cars that look as good as the real things and I have the contents of a 1/18th scale work shop complete with two post hoist and all the benches and tool kits you would expect to see in a real work place, even have a blown injected 427 Ford motor on an engine stand, one day I will have the time to build a diarama and set it up, one day. ]:)

As soon as they are approved, I put a couple of pics of the 1/18th Earnhardt tether car that I built in my album. Twin Cox .049 engines and milled aluminum frame. Doug

Just a quick note Last night we took Joe to the Armory and as of 2am he was on his way to Texas and will be there until the end of August when he leaves for Iraq. We had a little pizza party in his honor and a small informal engagement celebration for Jennifer & Joe with ice cream cake! Yes, engagement celebration. We will be welcoming a daughter-in-law into our family hopefully soon after Joe's return! This news certainly was wonderful to us as we already had Jennifer in our hearts. Now it is "official" and we couldn't be happier! At the house things were a bit teary as would be expected, however Jen, Ed & I did our best at the armory. We stood proud in the fact that Joe is an exceptional soldier and will be 100% on the job for the next year. His comrade Glenn was there to help with the transition and we sent them both off with best wishes and speedy returns. So friends, if I've seemd a bit distracted lately, now you know why.

Hi All, Just got home and had a message from Pete on the answering machine. His computer is down again and he will be out of touch for a time unless he makes it to his library. Once he is back on line, he will let us know.
