I know a woman who once went on a picnic many years ago and was wearing fairly tight jeans, she was sitting quietly on a grassy slope and enjoying the day when an ant got in her pants and bit her fair on the (you can guess where) and she did a very quick strip to naked from the waist down before she realized she had done so, reaction time some times overtakes the senses, was a very interesting sight to say the least, especially as she was definitely not alone, she still gets reminded of that day, quite often. Gas works much better if you just let it sit. Burning consumes the fumes, and the fumes is mostly whut kill dem ants.

fire ants are bad news. my forearms are covered with tiny scars from ant stings... it's like being covered with anti-freckles (cause they are white). beware when laying sod in the south. Make sure your friend gets the pallet of sod placed NEAR where you have to roll it out. http://msucares.com/insects/fireants/sting.html

Thanks for the graphics Kevin. I didn't know that the fumes is what got 'em either. I thought it was the cooking. We had sun this morning for about five minutes. Now it's back to the rain......will it ever be summer? B-)

Submitted leave pass for 2 weeks time and boss came back saying I couldn't take it. I snapped as I had it forcasted in our computer system. Who ever approved the other folks didn't care to think that I was forcasted for that period. Plus it was forcasted since winter. Plus I am deployed end of Aug. F^^^ sakes. Anyhoo squeaky wheel gets grease. They approved my leave. Our managemnt is little to be desired for.

Management often takes credit for leading, yet they seldom have a clue what leading requires. They often have difficulty managing. Sounds like you and I share a gross lack of competence in our managers. Another twist of irony, my management now refers to themselves as the "Competency".

Oh yea, they wanted us to install a known unserviceable raqdar antenna on an aircraft friday. Non of my qualified guys were willing to put their name on the paperwork. It's in our policy books about approved and unapproved parts. we'll see if I get any flack from that tonite.

Couldn't sleep well last night. Barely slept is more like it. Plus it thundered and downpoured all night into 8ish am. 10 to 11 and I haven't done a damn thing. should drag my butt to the shower

Went to bed last night and heard a truck with funny noise to it that we assume was the mosquito fogger. They started spraying again. I forgot to get the buffer zone sent in this spring as I was busy holding down the house. somebody else in this house could have sent it in for me. Anyhoo they spray Malathion here for the mosquitoes. So onto google to find the department.. DOne.

I love malathion in the morning..... I actually love DDT too........ Anything that will kill the little biting suckers...... Can you sat Diazinon? I have the concentrate for personal use only. Damn the EPA. I will be comfortable and save my fruit and veggies. TheNonEnvironmentalFriendlyFadda
