Two suggestions about the IOS ebay app notifications.
1) For notices of watchlist items soon to be expiring, it would help if notifications could optionally appear multiple times, like at 30, then 20, then 10 minutes, etc. Too often I see the notification, but then get distracted between that time and the expiration, and forget about bidding before the end.
2) It would help if the app could have its own volume control. Sometimes I have the volume turned down because of other apps being annoying, and then I don't hear ebay notifications, and don't see them until it is too late. If the app's volume could always be on full volume, then I'd be less likely to miss the notifications.
3) Not related to the phone apps, but it would also help if there were a customizable desktop version -- so that when I'm on the desktop and not paying attention to the phone, then I still get sounds and notifications that grab my attention.
In all cases, this means I would be bidding more, which means final sale prices would be higher, which means that the ebay percentage would be higher. So you're losing money by not maximizing users' chances to bid when they intend to bid.

Correction - I realize the volume of the push notification sound may be outside the app. I should have said when the app is open to a pending sale, the app itself should be the one optionally beeping or doing something to get your attention, with a volume that is independent of other volume settings.
