ebay app notification randomly stops working

I'm on the pixel 3a xl, today i had a question and i got the message sound, later on got a sale and it made the cha ching sound, finally i had an offer and got no sound or notification on my screen! Once i opened the app and saw it by luck i made a counter offer and the buyer accepted but once again i got 0 notification. I didn't change anything on my phone all day, all i did was text and reply back to customers when the app was working.

If your notifications work only when you are actually using the phone, make sure that your Battery Saver settings are not shutting down the eBay app when not in use. And under "Battery Optimization" the eBay app should be listed as "Not optimized".

My battery saver mode is turned off and i did switch the setting to "not optimized" 🙂 Any other tips?

Throwing my hat in to say this is happening to me too. I realized recently that I haven't been getting my eBay alerts for at least a week now, maybe more. I 've made sure my notifications are set to on, made sure that my power saver is still off, made sure that eBay is excluded from my power saver settings anyway, tried logging out and back in, and rebooted my phone. So far no luck. I haven't uninstalled and reinstalled yet, but wondering if I need to do that next. My phone is an LG V30+.

Try signing out, uninstalling the app and installing our latest update.

I've done this and it's still not working properly. I have seen a small difference, in that I occasionally get notifications now, but it's completely inconsistent and very rare. I know the app's gotten an update of some kind because the notification icon is a little different, but I would say I only get like maybe 1 out of 20 notifications that auctions are ending. I'm still missing out on a LOT of listings.
