Did you mean:

eBay needs to open beta their iOS app.

It's pretty obvious the "invite" only beta program for eBay app is limiting their feedback into rollout releases.

Many other large organizations publicly beta their app. Why? It provides a strong feedback loop.

I seriously doubt that eBay would have rolled out this horribly crippled version (multiple issues with Photo Upload) of their app had they had an open beta.

So eBay. Just publish the link to TestFlight for your eBay app and let the public open beta test it for you. Stop the invite only nonsense you're relying on to control your feedback loop before rolling major changes like you have with this 6.140.0.

Yeah, it  might increase the noise level of your feedback. But deal with it. You rolled out a business killing version of your app.

I have not considered listing on competing platforms until now. I'm stuck. I cannot upload pictures reliably for new listings. Alternative methods to access my iOS photos on my phone are not excellent. I either have to sync my entire iCloud library to my device to access the photos. I cannot plug a USB cable into my phone and access my photos like my phone was a USB drive. I believe the HEIC format eliminated this option change.

eBay also needs to communicate somehow that it's working on fixing this issue. This "black box" nonsense is also frustrating where you keep all of us who are struggling to use your app now in the dark.

Time to mature. Time to public beta. Time to communicate.
