eBay App not working!

Unable to list items thru mobile app as it does not allow you to choose the preferred shipping or payment policy. Not all options are available as they have been previously. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and called customer service to no avail. Anyone else having these same issues? Seems like they need to upgrade their app.

The first time you use the eBay app with shipping policies there is a note to use a browser so that you can check an authorization box. After that, using the app should work.

It is possible that eBay has changed something about the policies, and additional authorization is needed. Try choosing a shipping or payment policy using a browser, and then see if you are able to go back to using the eBay app.

Thanks, I’ll try that. Never had this issue before now so I’m thinking they’ve made some changes to the app recently. Thanks for your help!

Hi @has10390@eburtonlab has given some excellent advice here! I also wanted to check what policies you were missing (all or some, further details) in case the issue does not resolve, so I can work with my tech team on this.

Same issue here.   We're finishing (draft) listings via web browser instead of iphone Mobile app.

...can't choose the preferred shipping policy in the mobile app, we receive a popup to that effect.

 

Tried doing a listing from scratch (in Web Browser, after logging out and clearing cookies) to see if any authorization popups or check boxes appear, no such luck.

We have issue with 2 different account across 3 phones.

Have updated the app on each phone, no joy.

Hi Elizabeth,

The issues seem to be with the shipping and payment section within the app. It appears all of the options (that we’re working as of last Thursday Sept. 22nd) are not available when trying to list an item.

The issues more specifically are as follows :

-No option to uncheck global shipping

-Select pay immediately upon purchase

-Unable to select the carrier & business handling time (UPS /USPS) once you select your designated carrier and handling time it gives an error message when trying to list

-when getting ready to list after going thru all the prompts and selecting all the above info it gives an error message that all that the return and shipping information is missing. 

So for now we have to create a draft save it and list it from the computer which is tedious and makes the app useless for the time being. 

I have also checked to make sure we are using the current version of the app and everything seems up to date.

Looks like something is missing. Please
fix any issues and try again.
Return policy, Shipping service
A return option is missing or not valid.
Update your return options.

It’s fixed! It’s the business policies on the desktop version that I had to opt out of that was causing all the issues within the app.
