aren’t these things tested for compatibility weeks or months before updates are released?
How do you know the problem was not caused by an Apple update that conflicted with the current version of the eBay app?
Complex systems may require numerous parts to work together, not all of those parts are under eBay's direct control; updating any one part can cause problems for the others. I doubt whether Apple provides eBay with all the new Apple updates months or even days in advance to make sure everything is compatible.
