Can anyone advise how I can use eBay app without buying a new phone??

Right at the top of the page you posted on is the way to do this.

Look at the top of the "mobile apps" page

You don't need the app or new phone, just use the web browser and go to the site.

For iOS 16 or later and Android 10 or later, follow the instructions here: How to update your eBay app

For older systems running iOS 15 or Android 9 or earlier, you won't be able to use the app, but you can access eBay from a web browser on your device. Delete the eBay app so links open in your browser instead of the app.
