Too many requests error

New phone, and I can't sign in bc i receive "Too many requests" error. 

- uninstalled / reinstalled 

- tried temporary PIN

- created new password 

Still receive the same error

Log in with your username not your email address. That worked for me!

Hi,

I'm getting the same message after downloading the Ebay app onto my new Fusion 5 Wifi tablet. It's Android 7 (Nougat). I have Wifi 'on' and it still brings up an error message...."too many requests".

I've removed the app, re installed it god knows how many times but it's always the same. I can log in via Chrome but not via the App. I'm on Plusnet.

Me too.. New Anroid V7.0cell phone but 'too man request' error. On Wifi only via TalkTalk..

I upgrade to this phone cos my old andoid 4.1 could no longer use the app. This really sucks!

I'm based in UK - currently I'm only attempting connection via wi-fi /broadband the provider of which is TalkTalk.

 Just updated the app. but no change still getting 'too many requests' . Please can someone respond to this I use ebay quite a lot and it's so frustrating.. I have missed a few deals due to inability to bid.

That means ebay has also  LOST MONEY..

Ok so now I have a network connection as well as WiFi I have no idea what difference this makes (most tablets don't have network) but now the app works - somethingto do with 'Smart Lock' sign in?
