After multiple unsuccessful attempts to get the app to work, I took my galaxy S7 to a vendor. They were also unsuccessful in getting the app to work. I get a message stating that the current version of the app is no longer supported and the newest version must be acquired. I, and the repair vendor have exhausted all known avenues. It should be noted that there are NO CURRENT UPDATES for my device. Any ideas?

@signhammer337 The app has had issues from day one ... I have never put it on my phone. We use a laptop and computer here, suggest you consider doing that, otherwise you will have off and on issues on a regular basis and be limited to the app's limitations on listing items on eBay ... your choice.

As long as your device is running Android version 6 or higher, you should be able to use the latest version of the eBay app, according to this page:
If you are having problems getting the latest version, you may have old versions of Google Play Services or Google Play Store; you may need to update those first. See the instructions here:

If you are unable to upgrade to at least Android version 5.11, you can still use a browser to reach ebay.com instead.

We would love to hear from you what issues the app has had since day one. It has been out for ten years now and we have hoped to have fixed issues that were reported. It sounds like you are referring to listing items for sale and not all the other features that the app covers?

I seem to recall ongoing issues reported here on The Community about the phone app as far back as I can remember. Using the Search window and "eBay phone app issues" returns over 6 pages of posts and checking the first 5 pages I noticed one as far back as 2015 and every year since and often multiples ... because of all the issues posted here is one of the main reasons I have never put it on my phone.
My Private messaging is turned on and I would welcome any additional comments you may wish to share with me about this subject ...

Thanks for reporting. Please go to google play, uninstall the app, restart your device, and then install the Ebay app again.

@mobile_feedback That's good advice ... does this procedure load a new version of the eBay app?
