Reverse IOS16 requirement!

Lots of people use older iphones to access ebay. Requiring IOS16 to use the app now shuts out a lot of customers.  Make your app backwards compatible for longer!

You're not shut down from eBay, just from the app. If you're working on an outdated device that no longer supports current versions of the eBay app, you should be able to access eBay through a web browser on your phone/tablet.

If links are automatically trying to open in the app, you can delete the app since it's no longer functioning, or change the settings in your browser preferences so links don't automatically open in the app.

What did people do before apps?

They used a browser and went to the sites.

Have a great day.

Hey @mahjongmania! The Product team wanted to reach out and offer some assistance on this:

Thanks for reporting this. If your device has iOS 15 you should still be able to get a version of the app that will run on your device
  1. Delete your ebay app
  2. Go to the App Store, search for ebay
  3. When you download it you will see this alert, tapping download should allow you to get a version that will run on your device.
