I know others have posted here about this issue though apparently eBay has done nothing thus far to fix it...
Why is it that the new version of the eBay app erases/loses recent search history? The old version of the app (which was much better than this current version in a variety of ways), used to retain dozens of my most recent searches. I’m lucky if the new version keeps 5-7 at a time before they disappear or are replaced by newer searches. I like using this feature to go back and research items that I check for frequently. I use this in addition to the saved searches function.
Why can’t eBay fix this feature of the app? It’s incredibly annoying to constantly be losing my recent searches. eBay is losing business too. Less searching = less buying.
I wish i could could get the old version back.

Thanks for posting here. The app should be keeping a longer search history than that. Do you notice any pattern on when they are being removed?

I have not noticed any particular pattern, though it's rare if it retains more than 5-7 of the most recent searches more than a day or so. Anything beyond that seems to disappear within a short time.
I've checked the message boards and I've seen numerous threads from many members of the community that have had the same complaint so I know it is not something particular to my device.
This is a bug or design flaw that should have been fixed a long time ago.
