Notification panel "something went wrong

Oh look! Yet another error with this app.

Not only do notifications continually fail to arrive, or arrive hours late, now the whole settings panel is an error.

Comical.

Discovered this right after losing an auction due when someone bid with 13sec left yet the screeb said I was winning and never showed outbid.

Galaxy S21

Current release of app.

Re: Notification panel "something went wrong

The 'APP' was never designed or made to shop on. Amazon, Ebay, FBMP etc- it is ONLY designed for you to 'peruse' until you can get to an actual computer to

a.) see the pictures

b.) read the description

c.) finish a purchase or

d.) finish "listing" an item for sale

It was NEVER designed for a shopper or seller to 'live on' as the simple fact is.....

The APP has ALWAYS been full of flaws and will find ways to continue to be FULL of flaws week after week.

Re: Notification panel "something went wrong

Hi @bigfoot9999 . I saw another person report issues with notifications today.

eBay did push out updates to the app today so it's possible that had side effects.

Delete the app, reboot your phone, then reinstall the app. That clears up most issues. If it does not work to clear up this notification issue, then file a tech report. I's fast and easy and eBay does review these reports. The more people reporting, the higher priority the issue will get in the fix queue.

Options through the app:

1. Shake your device while the app is open and that will trigger the option for you to file a tech report or submit feedback on product features.

2. Anywhere you see the three dots or the ? you can tap on that to file a report. Screenshot below.

Re: Notification panel "something went wrong

Happening to me too. I can't disable any of the notifications because they're all greyed out and I get the 'something went wrong' message.

Re: Notification panel "something went wrong

If this is still happening, try temporarily turning off push notifications in the eBay app, then turn them back on again.

That seemed to fix the greyed out option issue for me when I encountered it.

Re: Notification panel "something went wrong

its not a glitch.  ebay is doing this on purpose to force feed us their garbage ebay live events notifications.  they do not provide a way to turn that off specifically, and after calling ebay, the agent flat out said i had to turn off ALL my notifications if i wanted those ebay live things to stop.  and when i said the app wasnt allowing notification changes with that "glitch" she said yeah, that'll be that way for a while.
