Messaging is turned off

Hello. What does the attached message error mean? I’m trying to message a seller for some after-sales question, but I get this message error reading “Messaging is turned off for sneakers covered by Authenticity Guarantee”. Please let me know how can I reach out to the seller?

It's a bad move on eBays part. eBay does not allow contact between the buyer and seller once the item has been authenticated. I have no idea why eBay thinks this is a good idea.

I like to keep my customers updated on shipments.  Not being able to communicate could open the door for negative feedback is a shipment gets unexpectedly delayed BEFORE it is sent for authentication.  This does not make sense.

Click on seller name and other items for sale and reach out that way.

Yeah worked for me, but another person doesn’t have other items so I can’t message them.

I just got this too.  I've been sick and haven't been able to send the sneakers and I wanted to contact the buyer to explain that i will ship tomorrow.  I cannot.  They must think I stole their money!!!  I didn't of course.  But they will leave bad feedback and I can't even reach out to explain.  thanks ebay.  thanks a lot

My transaction included the buyer’s phone number, so that’s an option for others as well, if the number is displayed.

This flawed.

I need to remind the buyer to leave positive feedback. If I don’t message them they’ll forget.

the logic behind this system is flawed and makes no sense.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve got a buyer who asked multiple times about one size. Ended up buying another size as the first was out of stock. I went to reach out to make sure since I don’t want some stinky feet trying on shoes that are too big and got denied. Hoping for the best. Definitely a bad move on eBay.

i have been looking at stuff most of the evening and first time I have brought off eBay for about 15 years at least and ordered a uk 9.5 instead of us9.5 and I need to message the seller to see if he can change. I purchased them this evening about 9pm and haven’t had them authentic Ed yet and I get a messaged saying I can’t cancel the item which is bizarre because it’s an authentic product. 

wont be using eBay again. Amazon all the way!
