Messages looping

Recently updated to the latest app version and it appears that each message folder has duplicate sequenced messages. For example: 'you have sent and received 3 messages between today and yesterday. These are the only messages you'll see no matter how long you're scrolling for.'

It's not ideal when you're handling ebay business on the move. I'm using a Huawei P20

I have had exactly the same problem for around 2 weeks. Probably since the last update . My messages loop around and show only the last 1/2 days on the latest Android app. Both in the inbox folder and sent folder. This is very annoying as I only use EBay on my phone and I communicate often with buyers.

I'm using Android 9 on a Motorola One Vision.  I  was advised by eBay to uninstall/reinstall which didn't help.

I've just sent an email to Androidhelp@ebay .com.

Is the beta version the answer? Is this a common problem?

I too have been having the same issue for the last week or so, very annoying to say the least.

This problem is happening to me as well I have tried everything unstall / reinstall / clear data / clear cache / restart phone  nothing works  this problem is not effecting the web browser portion only app

Verizon, Samsung Galaxy Note 5

I have the same Messages Loop problem. It only occurred after I updated to the latest Android version 5.37.0.10 When I reversed to a previous version, the issue went away. Again I tried on 4 different phones running Android 7.1, 8.0, 8.1, all the same behavior, so Ebay should stop blaming on the Android versions and phones, it's Ebay's code.

From now on, I would be EXTREMELY caucious whenever I do an Ebay App update. I have 10+ Android devices in my house. I would only try Ebay latest version on one device, test it with no bugs, then update to all others.

I have the  Beta Version and have been having the same issue for 2 days. I only see repeat messages from the current day.  Now I am worried I am missing messages.  So no Beta is not the answer

!!!! ( UPDATE ) !!!! There is a update fix as of today wed oct 30 2019 I download the update and the issue fixed!!!   everyone go to google play store and update the ebay app
