Like many other users I am no longer able to access the eBay site. Over the years I must have bought many hundreds of pounds from eBay.
The company obviously doesn’t want my business any more as I have an older phone - an iPhone 6S max.
There is an old saying which says’ If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! I feel badly let down by eBay as well as, I imagine, have thousands of other users. This is the sort of issue that should have been road tested first by the developers. This new app launch has been a disaster. Please can this issue be resolved by eBay asap. Deleting the app and downloading the new one doesn’t work as all the existing data for personal use also disappears. What a mess!
If I do need to buy a new iPhone then my first port of call would have been eBay. Oh dear I can’t as the app doesn’t work!

@vinowise2012
Instructions here: How to update your eBay app
- Requires Android 10 or later
- Requires iOS 17 or later, but there are directions for iOS 16 users to download an older version of the app
If you have iOS 15 or Android 9 and cannot update to a compatible OS, you can still access eBay from a web browser on your device, and you'll probably want to delete the app so links open in your browser instead of the app.

Sorry this does not work. The app will only let me download the old version.
It seems to me that customers are complaining but no one is listening. Can we have a new app please which works in older phones.

OK I am now using my browser after deleting the eBay app. I am able to access all of the site as before. I do miss the original app as it was always readily accessible. However the new process provides me with everything that is required.
Apologies for my Victor Meldrew rant. I expect it raised a few smiles.
