My IOS app was working perfectly the popups to update. Even now the app loads and stuff happens in the background to show its still connected to the server, however i then get a popup to say 'Exit or Update'. I have a jail broken ipad 4 running Ios 7, which i do not want to update to the latest unbroken ios.
I also had the app running on an iphone 4, this also has the same popup, forcing me to upgrade my phone in order to have ebay access on the move. Yep, i know i could run this via the safari browser, but its slow when it comes to bids, and it wont open my ebay emails. I even bought an iphone 5 (off ebay), only to discover a/ the battery needs replacing, and b/ it takes a much smaller sim. All off which means more hassles to get ebay on the go, eg whilst at work.
My question is this, why fix something which wasn't broken?
The whole point of ebay is for thrifty people to get bargains, so why expect us to have the latest apple products with the latest IOS. The existing app still seems to work, and simply requires a rethink about this need to update.
Is there any way to get the app to work again for older IOS, eg IOS 7 compatibility?
