Changing delivery address.

I recently moved, and when I purchased an item from eBay, I changed the postal address to my new one. I thought that was it, until after I paid for the item. When I checked the order, to my horror I saw that the delivery address was still my old address, not my new one. I tried contacting the seller, no response (which is in itself a worry), I tried every way in the eBay app, to no avail. I clicked on settings, saw the old delivery address, tried clicking on that, nothing. All that happened was my phone vibrated for a second, but I couldn't get it to change. What do I do? Tried the eBay help section, and unsurprisingly it was no help at all. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no good there either. Helpn

Changing delivery address.

If the move was recent, you may be able to have your USPS mail forwarded from the old address to the new address for a certain period of time to allow you to update your addresses everywhere. Contact your post office for details.

This may not help if the shipment is not going via USPS, though.

Adding a new address to your eBay account is necessary, but more than that is required. After that, you need to make the new address your primary address, and delete the old address. If you fail to do both things, eBay will continue to provide the old address each time you try to check out.

You can update your shipping addresses using a desktop browser by going here:

https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses

That will affect future orders, but not current orders, as sellers are required to ship to the address that comes with the payment to be protected. Scammers often try to contact sellers and attempt to get shipments redirected. You can request the seller cancel the order if it has not shipped yet, and possibly the seller will relist and allow you to purchase again and provide the correct address, but sellers are not required to do so.
