Cannot update app when installed

Installed the ebay app from Google store. Once installed an update is required and displays cancel and update box, but does not updated when selected. It just go back to the install page.

The eBay app requires your android device to have an operating system Android 10 or newer. 
If your device is outdated you can always use a  web browser on your device.

For older systems running Android 9 or earlier, you can access eBay from a web browser on your device.

Delete the eBay app so links open in your browser instead of the app.

Thank you for that. I managed to use the web site as you mentioned and that'll be how I use ebay from now on.  Well, until I get  new phone.
