I stupidly changed my password yesterday and have been unable to log in to the eBay app on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I see where this has been an issue numerous times and have tried everything, but still get the same error message of Something Went Wrong. I have deleted the app, restarted the phone, redownloaded, also have deleted the app, reset the phone, redownloaded and still cannot get in. I have tried these sequence of events at least 20-30 times. Phone is up to date as well. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you!

Yes I can sign in using a mobile browser, laptop and android phone, just not the IOS app. That’s where the problem is. Seems to be a known issue for quite some time now, I just didn’t know if there was a different route or fix I could try.

From your description, it sounds like you have already tried all the usual things I would suggest regarding the app.
Technical issues with the app can be reported to eBay by shaking your phone while the app is active, even if you are not currently signed it, I believe.

Thank you! I did do the shake & report. Not sure how much that’ll help. I’ll just keep trying and hopefully it’ll work at some point 🙂

You are welcome. If enough folks report similar issues, it may be addressed in the next app update, or it may be something that eBay can fix without actually updating the app.

Just wanted to share. I think I’ve figured out the issue. I have 2 factor authentication turned on and am required to for my account, it won’t let me turn it off.
I am able to sign in to my husband’s eBay account on my phone and he doesn’t have 2 factor authentication. So it seems to be related to that somehow. I also downloaded the app on my iPad and was able to sign in on that. So something with the phone app and authentication seems to be the problem possibly.

I am having the same issue. I can log onto the app from other devices but can no longer log in using my primary iphone. Seems device specific. I did all the standard fixes : delete app restart iphone and reinstall app, clear ios cache and history, etc..
I keep getting " Something Went Wrong" message each time I try to sign into the app from my phone, I can sign into the website from my phone.
Any thoughts?

I’m not sure but it must be the latest as I had deleted and re-uploaded it from the Apple-store just this morning after turning the phone on and off per recommendation from eBay

I'm sorry, I am just now seeing this and wanted to update to add I was finally able to log in via the app on my phone. I just kept trying. Each time I was denied access, I deleted the app, restarted the phone, re-downloaded the app and tried a bit later. At some point it finally let me back in. Hope you have been able to get back in by now.
