What number did you call and where did you find that number?
Scammers sometimes put up fake web pages and then buy advertising on Google to try to steer unwary customers to the scammer's phone number so they can try to convince users to provide gift card numbers. If someone was asking for a gift card, that definitely sounds like a scammer.
