Back Button, where did it go?

Just installed the eBay app, ver. 6.41.0.4 on my new tablet.  No back button.  If do a search, then look at item, can't go back to list of items. Have to start all over with search.  There is no button  anywhere.  Have tried everything I can think of.

Have uninstalled/reinstall several times  with same problem.  App is unusable like this. Please help me fix this problem.

The back button is part of your operating system. There are multiple settings that can cause the back button to not be displayed, including activating gesture options rather than using the three-button navigation.

Certain themes like dark mode or full-screen options may obscure the buttons in some situations. Try tapping the screen where the buttons are normally located to see if the buttons are active but not displaying correctly. Activating a high contrast text option may help highlight hidden buttons and text.

In some cases you may need to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see the navigation options.

eburtonlab, Superstar! You had the answer.  Took tablet off gesture changed to the three buttons and TaDa! Have a back button now. Thank you very much. I just couldn't figure it out myself

I just recently got a new phone, and the default setting was "gesture enabled". I tried that for a bit before restoring the old three-button navigation that I was used to.

I don’t know how this hasn’t been solved yet!! The answers for this issue seem to always ASSUME you have an android device when more than half of the population has apple devices. ON IPHONES, this issue cannot be solved and needs to be addressed by the eBay app developers to add a back button on the app for the IOS version. Apple does not have a back button and no way of adding a back button. I tried Swiping to the right, left, clicking the ebay home icon, I went through all the settings I have tried everything and cannot go back without re-searching what I was trying to search which it doesn’t even remember recent searches and I have to re-type the whole search words again. The ebay app definitely needs to be updated to be more user friendly on IOS devices, just add a back button, it’s not that hard for eBay and very frustrating for consumers. OR just help us navigate back to our search results after clicking on a listing if there is someway to do that, that we don’t know of.
